Quality Layout Inspector
Kelly is seeking an Quality Layout Inspector at Ford Motor Company in Allen Park, MI for a long term contract.
Pay = $22 / hr - $24 / hr Experience Required:
2-3 yrs experience in Engineering & Automotive Industry Roles and Responsibilities Utilize scales and tools for automotive component inspection Test for flatness, profile, parallelism, machinery and associated surfaces Measure and gauge precision automotive components Inspect finished product samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality Check that the production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements Read blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods Compile reports to share results, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into in-house database Suggest improvements to the production process Required Skills/
Experience:
2 - 3 yrs experience in Engineering & Automotive Industry Experience / training in GD&T Able to read blueprints Dimensional inspection processes Basic computer data entry skills Blueprint reading Metric system knowledge Familiarity in use of Calipers, Micrometers, Height gauges, Dial gauges, and gauge blocks Must have experience using CMM - Zeiss or Adcole Machinist or toolmaker who is looking to transition into an inspection role will be considered based on skill set and familiarity with precise measurements and familiarity working on machines similar to what inspector will be required to use to perform job duties.
